PowWOW 2008 concluded May 9th in Chicago, and Passageways would like to thank all of you that attended. The conference has garnered great reviews from attendees with an almost 90% Net Promoter Score. Passageways is dedicated to giving back to the local Lafayette/West Lafayette community, as well as on a national level. In an effort to apply our knowledge and experience in the portal software industry to our philanthropic efforts, Passageways has developed a portal application that has been specifically tailored to facilitate charitable giving.

This Auction Manager Application, developed by Passageways Consulting Services, consists of two islands and a “Module Administration Tool” that allows Financial Institutions to easily manage an auction inside the Passageways Portal Framework. The application is being offered with a “name your price” method, allowing organizations to choose how much they would like to “pay” for the application. Whatever the named price becomes would be donated to the following four charities pre-chosen by Passageways’ employees:

• YWCA (local Lafayette/West Lafayette chapter)
• Children's Miracle Network
• American Heart Association
• American Cancer Society

The next two Peer Webinars have been lined up for Wednesday, June 4 and Thursday, June 26, 2008. Portal LogFile Cleanup

Cleaning up log files on the portal server once a month or before running LiveUpdate will save time when running LiveUpdate. To clean up the log files go to: Drive\Inetpub\wwwroot\Passageways\LogFiles.

Portal LiveUpdate Cleanup

Cleaning up LiveUpdate Backups on the portal server once a quarter is recommended to save disk space. Backups are typically stored at Drive\Program Files\Passageways\Backups. If the backup location cannot found, login into LiveUpdate to obtain folder path.

Portal LiveUpdate Cleanup

Passageways database cleanup should be performed once every six months or when needed. (Click Here for KB Article) Passageway recommends backing up the Passageways portal databases on the SQL server daily.
