PowWow 2007: Agenda and Updates

The third annual Passageways Advanded User and Developer Conference is shaping up to be our biggest conference yet.  We have already registered more than 70 attendees from 30 organizations across the nation, including Hawaii!.

Passageways Employee News: Promotions and Restructuring

As you are aware from our communications throughout the year, Passageways family of customers and products is growing at a steady clip. To position ourselves for continued success we recently went through a restructuring. The summary of these team changes are below:

Shannon White has been promoted to be our Implementation Manager. She will be heading a new group which will work with all new clients until completion of their portal implementation and roll out. This group will be supported by the Installation, Training and Support personnel at Passageways. Shannon has been with Passageways for over 3 years and we congratulate her on her success!

Anne Wertz has been promoted to be our Customer Support Manager. This new position has two primary responsibilities - Managing all communications with clients and managing all incoming support requests. The new Customer Supoort Group will be supported by the Account Executives and the Technical Support Specialists personnel at Passageways. Anne has been with Passageways for 2 years and we congratulate her on her success as well!

We are happy to welcome Sarah Pinkerton as an Account Executive. Sarah used to work at Purdue EFCU and is very familiar with the Passageways products. She will be contacting her assigned clients next month onwards. We are excited to have Sarah in our team and wish her luck!

Kimberly Hitze has been promoted to lead all customer education initiatives at Passageways. She will be spearheading all webinars and e-trainings and this transition will be made in the next several weeks. We wish Kim well in this new endeavour! 

 

 


 

Update on Help Desk Module and Release Dates

Introducing a new version of the Passageways Help Desk Module. This new version brings with it many important improvements including full support for custom fields per Help Desk. So now your HR Help Desk can add Benefits Categories, Hiring Options, and more; while IT can add System Types and Affected Users fields to their own Help Desk.

 

End users can now see the requests they've submitted and technicians can filter, view, and even customize how their list of requests look for themselves to better manage their requests. Journaling ensures that all changes to requests are tracked and maintained including old values. Technicians and end users can communicate with each other, including attaching documents, through the journaling feature as well without having to resort to email. Best of all, any technician or manager who views the request can view its entire history including all communications between technicians and end users!

 

Help Desk v3.4 requires Portal v3.3 in order to run. When upgrading to Help Desk v3.4, a migration script is included which will migrate all existing data from Help Desk v3.3 to v3.4 automatically.

Introducing eForms Builder Module 

Introducing the new eForms Builder Module from Passageways!  This exciting new module provides an easy way to design, publish, complete, route, and submit electronic business forms throughout your organization or even to people outside the organization.  In addition, all of the eForms Builder capabilities are fully integrated with the portal framework to minimize training needs and get your organization running quickly!

  • Easily create forms using the Form Designer right in your portal web browser
  • Identify Publishers to publish forms for employees to use
  • Search forms easily
  • Upload existing forms in any format
  • Send form results to any email address
  • Send form results to the module database and view aggregate results easily
  • Route forms for approval

Spotlight: Executive Dashboards Delivered!

Who the Project was for: IH Mississippi Valley CU

The need for the service: IHMVCU had just deployed the Board Portal offered by Passageways and wanted a way to display the Credit Unions key measures to its Board Members along with Senior Management and staff.

How Professional Services was able to meet the need: The Professional Services team worked closely with the Credit Union to create digital dashboards with historical trend lines. These dashboards have roles based access, which allows some measures to be shown only to selected individuals. The data is easily maintained by the CU staff and very well received by all.

Time frame of completion: Under 2 weeks

Several other Organizations have signed up to deploy Executive Dashboards offered by Passageways. Some of these organizations include:
  • Educators Credit Union
  • Sun East Federal Credit Union
  • Arizona Central Credit Union
  • Andrews Federal Credit Union
  • Granite State Credit Union

Dashboards are available with manual as well as automated data input.

Tech Corner: Have you upgraded to Portal v3.3?

Portal upgrade v3.3 was released in December. With this release, the portal framework and all the installed modules are now .NET version 2.0 compliant. This is a significant upgrade and requires some server configuration. The procedure instructions can be found at http://support.passageways.com/KnowledgeBase/310146.aspx.

Please do not hesitate to contact Passageways Support with any questions or concerns. We will be happy to run the update and make any server adjustments for you.

To find out if your portal has already been upgraded:

  • On the Navigation Tree, click Tools.
  • Click Support Resources.
  • Click Framework Summary Report.
