Tech Corner: Customizing Your Navigation Tree

Portal Framework v3.3 allows you customize your navigation tree by creating custom links, also known as nodes. You can create links to just about any website and anyplace within the portal itself. You can even create nodes that will only be viewable by individuals assigned to a specific role!

Let’s take a look at a few examples. If you would like to add a link to Products & Services to the Navigation Tree, for example, you can simply add the following code. You can customize the Text (or name that will appear on the link), the order index, and the icon path according to your specifications.
